Le dernier livre de l’artiste suisse Didier Rittener, « D’après, à cause, grâce à », puise dans son corpus d’à peu près 700 dessins intitulé « Libre de droits ». Il a proposé à 44 auteur.trices d’en choisir un, puis d’écrire une notice « créative ». Les intervenantes font partie de cette constellation d’écrivain.e.s. Partant de l’expérience de produire un texte détournant l’exercice habituel de la notice et de la commande de texte, cet échange explorera comment le dessin peut contribuer ici, puis en général, à l’émancipation de l’expérience artistique.

Neves (artistic director and independent curator) Guests: Didier Rittener (visual artist), Claire Le Restif (director of Crédac), Katharina Ammann (director of the Aargauer Kunsthaus), and Marianne Burki (independent curator and artistic director of TaDA, Textile and Design Alliance)
Swiss artist Didier Rittener's latest book, "D’après, à cause, grâce à," draws on his corpus of approximately 700 drawings entitled "Libre de droits." He invited 44 authors to choose one and then write a "creative" note. The speakers are part of this constellation of writers. Drawing on the experience of producing a text that deviates from the usual exercise of writing notes and commissioning texts, this discussion will explore how drawing can contribute, here and in general, to the emancipation of the artistic experience. With the support of the Swiss Cultural Center on tour.

Alice Maher occupe une place centrale dans le panorama artistique Irlandais. Son travail fait appel à de nombreux supports, accordant à son dessin un caractère innovateur et intime. Elle expose régulièrement en Irlande, en Angleterre et aux États-Unis, ayant représenté son pays natal à la 22e Biennale de São Paulo. Une rétrospective de son oeuvre, « Becoming », a été présentée à IMMA (Dublin) en 2012. Récemment, elle a exposé au Drawing Room (Londres), au MAC (Marseille) et à la RHA, (Dublin).

Alice Maher occupies a central place in the Irish artistic landscape. Her work uses multiple media, giving her drawing an innovative and intimate character. She exhibits regularly in Ireland, England, and the United States, having represented her native country at the 22nd São Paulo Biennale. A retrospective of her work, "Becoming," was presented at IMMA (Dublin) in 2012. Recently, she has exhibited at the Drawing Room (London), the MAC (Marseille), and the RHA (Dublin).

This discussion will examine their drawing practices through the prism of light and photography as forces of resistance, and will provide an opportunity to explore their approach and the specificities of their work.

Pour l’exposition « Codes dessinés : notations urbaines, écritures intimes », la directrice artistique du salon @joanaprneves a eu le privilège de pouvoir choisir des œuvres dans la prestigieuse collection du @cnapfr.

Opérateur du ministère de la Culture, le Cnap soutient la création contemporaine en acquérant, conservant et diffusant une collection de près de 108 000 œuvres, valorisée à travers des prêts, expositions et actions de recherche. Découvrez une sélection des œuvres exposées au Carreau du Temple du 27 au 30 mars.

✍️ The Cnap collection at Drawing Now
For the ‘Drawn Codes: urban notations, intimate writings’ exhibition, the show's artistic director Joana P.R. Neves had the privilege of choosing works from the prestigious CNAP collection.

Operated by the French Ministry of Culture, the CNAP supports contemporary art by acquiring, conserving and disseminating a collection of almost 108,000 works, which it promotes through loans, exhibitions and research. Discover a selection of the works exhibited at the Carreau du Temple from 27 to 30 March.
